Ryan is a junior and senior high school teacher and hockey fanatic (go Avs!).
Ellen is a business professional who enjoys organizing, skiing and crafting.
In our spare time we reminisce about our magical Walt Disney World vacations and eagerly look forward to planning our next trip! We also enjoy doing outdoor activities together such as kayaking, hiking & camping.
Ryan's first Walt Disney World trip was in 1997 when he went to the most magical place on earth with his dad and aunt on a family vacation. They stayed off-resort and visited all four Disney parks as well as Universal Studios.
Ellen made her first trip to Walt Disney World in 2000 with a surprise family vacation The family stayed off resort and visited the Disney parks and Blizzard Beach!
Flash forward to the spring of 2009 - we meet for the first time in University. Both taking the same program, we had numerous classes together and quickly became friends. Sometime in February or March of 2010 (yes, we can't remember the date!) we made it official and have been together ever since.
In 2012, Ryan graduated from his Bachelor of Education program and as an amazing graduation gift his parent's sent us on a week long vacation to....Walt Disney World! It was a quickly planned trip (only one month) but we managed to get everything we needed and had the best time! We made our first visit together in May of 2012.
Two years later, we both had good jobs and were able to save for another Disney vacation. Ryan, being a teacher, had limited vacation time so we decided to go when school was out in June. This time, we had four months to plan and impatiently count down the days!
We've been missing Disney ever since we got back from our most recent trip in June and aren't entirely sure when we'll be back. We decided to start this blog as a way of preserving memories and providing the helpful tips and tricks we've learned along the way!
